great place
Rosie's Tavern is a great bar...it has been around for a very long time...the owner and the bartenders have too... they all take care of the place and are proud to do so...it's a mixed bar, everyone is welcome and good drinks. you can feel safe there and everyone is friendlyI have been stopping in for over 7yrs now and there is no place like home..
A Friendly Place
Rosie's is a friendly place to go and hang out. Not only are the bartenders friendly but the people who frequent there (both gay and straight) will make one feel welcome. The only down sides for me is I don't smoke and KY has not passed a no smoking ban and I live about 20 miles from there.
A younger multigender crowd...
There really isn't anyplace like this where I'm from. I wish there was. Even if I felt a little like Grandpa here...it was a younger crowd, about a 50/50 mix of men and women. But everyone was getting along fine, the bartender was keeping everybody happy and thirst-free. No smoking ban in Kentucky...everyone (but me) seemed to be smoking and I could smell it in my clothing later. But I had fun! Covington is a funky old town full of bars, clubs, and restaurants...and Rosie's serves the gay community quite well.
